Join Whiskers & Tails Rescue Foundation for a magical day of creativity and imagination at our "Young Picassos: Painting Masterpieces" event! Designed exclusively for children of all ages (babies and up), this engaging and colorful gathering celebrates the joy of artistic expression and encourages young minds to unleash their inner artists. We will provide you with a 16x20 blank canvas and we will have an assortment of child safe, non-toxic paint colors for you to choose from to dip your child's hands and/or feet into. There will be several painter drop cloths scattered through out the grassy area to allow for enough room for people with their children to paint their one of a kind master pieces. There will also be kiddie pools set up to allow you to wash your child's hands & feet afterwards. This is sure to be a fun event as always! We advise you to pre-purchase your tickets to ensure you have a spot since we will only have a limited amount of canvases. You can arrive anytime from the hours of 11:00am - 1:00pm. We ask that the latest you arrive is 12:30pm, as the event ends at 1:00pm and we wouldn't want you to rush your little artist at work. PHOTO SUBMISSTIONS OPEN NOW, Voting takes place (October 24th - October 31st)
Because we love our pets and don't want to make them miserable, this year's pet photo contest is a HALLOWEEN THEME pet photo contest. That means you do NOT have to have to dress up your pet in a costume and instead the photo can have a Halloween theme with your pet in it, it just has to have a Halloween theme (a real one, no fake backgrounds). If your pet enjoys wearing a costume, great, submit your costume photos! But if your pet does NOT enjoy it, the picture can have a Halloween theme. If you are looking for examples, look at our Contest banner (do you have pumpkins? take a photo of your pet sitting amongst them, do you have any Halloween toys or cardboard houses? put your pet on them.)
The Halloween theme Pet PHOTO SUBMISSION ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN and you can start submitting your photos. There is a $5.00 entry fee per photo to participate. You may enter as many pets as you like, but please only 1 photo of the same pet, group pet photos are accepted. Once you have entered, invite your friends and family to vote for your pet photo when the voting polls are open. Votes are $1 each (There are discounted voting rates with the more votes you purchase in a single transaction).

Why paint your pet when your pet can paint for you? That’s right! Whiskers & Tails Rescue Foundation is hosting our annual “Paw Painting” party, where your dog can create their own unique masterpiece. This fundraiser is a heartfelt way to commemorate your love for your pet with a lasting and sentimental piece of art.
Join us at Pet Supplies Plus - Wicker Park 1289 N. Milwaukee Ave (the parking lot is in the back of the store off of Milwaukee & Paulina), where we’ll provide a large 16x20 canvas and a selection of pet-safe, non-toxic paint colors for your dog’s paws. We’ll have plenty of space with drop cloths spread out so everyone can enjoy creating their masterpiece. Afterward, your dog can rinse off in one of our doggie pools—soap and towels provided. Please note: while the paint might temporarily stain your dog’s paw pads or fur, it will fade in a few days.
This event is always a fantastic time! To guarantee your canvas, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as supplies are limited. You can arrive anytime between 11:00 am and 2:45 pm. Please note the latest arrival time is 2:45 pm, as the event concludes at 3:00 pm, and we want your pup to have plenty of time to create their art.

Hosted by Whiskers & Tails Rescue Foundation, this event helps support our mission to save cats in need. Your general ticket includes one bandana and all the supplies you’ll need to design and customize a fabulous accessory for your pet. Come solo or bring a friend, either way, you’ll leave with a creation made with love and paws-itive vibes.

It’s almost here! Our First Annual Kitten Shower is only 14 days away, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate with you! Come be a part of this heartwarming event to help collect essential supplies for us as we prepare for kitten season. We’d love for you to join us on Sunday, April 13th, anytime from 11am - 3pm at Uncle Art Gallery (1359 N. Maplewood Ave) for a day filled with fun, community, and of course, adorable kittens. There will be games, kitten naming opportunities, raffles, lite bites, and refreshments. Plus, the first 20 people will receive a special goodie bag! It’s going to be a purr-fect day, and we can’t wait to share it with you! In addition to all the fun, you'll get the chance to meet some of our adoptable kittens and cats, and learn about ways you can get involved in fostering, TNR, and other volunteer opportunities. Here’s the best part: Admission is FREE for all! However, you can help our life saving efforts by donating items from off of our Kitten Shower Registry here . Or by making a Monetary donation here that will go towards their medical care and other kitten needs. Can’t make it in person? No worries!
